22 year old arabian whose owner was fell on hard times. He donated Ithica to DSEC but continues to come out once a week and volunteer around the ranch as well as pays for her farrier visits. Ithaca is on paon management for an old injury that causes her some back pain.

20 year old mammoth mules, bonded pair. Used to pull wagons during the festival of lights in the neighborhood of Winterhaven in Tucson, Az. Jake has kissing spine and takes daily medication to help with pain as well as extra feed to help put on an appropriate amount of weight.

At his previous rescue the vet recommended euthanasia due to abnormal shoulder. They were unable to get near him with any medical equipemt. He was brought to DSEC and was abled to be gelded, evaluated and get his feet done to help out his shoulder. He will never be 100% but he has shown he has a lot of life left in him. Proper pain management and foot care.
